Zomato Limited is one of the leading online Food Service platforms in terms of the value of food sold as of Dec 31, 2020. Its B2C offerings include food delivery and dining-out services where customers can search and discover restaurants, order food delivery, book a table, and make payments for dining out at restaurants while under the B2B segment, it generates revenue from Hyper pure (supply of high-quality ingredients and kitchen products to restaurants) and Zomato Pro, customer loyalty program.
Zomato Ltd. will launch its three-day initial public offering (IPO) on July 14, making the online food aggregator one of the first Indian startup unicorns to list on the Stock market. The company is looking to raise as much as Rs 9,375 crore by issuing fresh stock and via an offer for sale at Rs 72-76 per share. It is likely to be valued at nearly $9 billion at the upper end of this price band.
The net proceeds will be used for organic and inorganic growth initiatives and general corporate purposes. While 75% of the Zomato IPO will be reserved for qualified institutional buyers, non-institutional investors can bid for up to 15% shares on offer. Retail investors have 10% of the stock allotted to them. Employees have access to up to 6.5 million shares.
